I have a fairly big make up kit which I am constantly lifting in and out of my car. By lifting it I mean asking my dad for help. With this in mind I constantly feel the need to give my kit a diet at least every three months so that he’s not lifting as much. (most thoughtful daughter of the year right?)
I wanted to show you all my staple favourites that won’t be going anywhere when de cluttering commences.
Too Faced, Better than sex – mascara
I struggle to find a mascara that isn’t clumpy, gives enough length and fullness to my limp natural lashes. Then I was told about this little gem. I went into Selfridges to get it, and have since bought another three. I LOVE it. The hourglass shaped brush allows extra volume and fluffy lashes lasting all day. When buying from Selfridges it was £23 but having surfed the internet I found it for £17. Even better!
Nars, Radiant Creamy Concealer
I’ve said it before and I will say it again. I am obsessed with this concealer. I have been using it for a while now and still have the same love for it. It covers, conceals and doesn’t look too heavy. £24 which can be a lot for what might not be a vital part in your make up kit however for me its worth it! A cheaper alternative ..
Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer
This is a cheaper alternative to the Nars concealer (£19 cheaper to be exact) however it is most people’s first choice! With the lightweight finish and medium coverage it erases dark circles under your eyes. If you wanted a fuller coverage you can layer it up, just don’t forget to set with powder afterwards to keep it on all day.
Laura Mercier, Translucent powder
This baby has been on my wish list for a long time and in 2017 I dragged my ass to Selfridges and finally purchased it. This lightweight powder is perfect to set your make up and keep it on all day. It’s also a MUST if you suffer with an oily t-zone. It’s super easy to apply with a brush or beauty blender. At £29 for 29g pot it’s a must for me.
Sleek, Powder contour palette
If you know, you know. This high street powder triple compact is something you are missing out on if you don’t already have it. As you can see mines a little battered and bruised because it comes everywhere with me and at only £9.99 you can see why! For a bronzer, highlighter and a blusher it’s an easy way to take away weight from your make up bag. The bronzer is perfect for under your cheek bone to sculpt your face. Highlighter to create a popping cheekbone and a blusher to pinch your cheeks. I do admit I have used a better highlighter and bronzer before however they also cost three times the price and didn’t come in one simple compact.
Is there anything you can’t live without in your make up bag? Fill me in I’m always looking to try new products!
Thank me later,
